I am a freelance writer based in Malaga, Spain, with fifteen years' experience.
I write regularly for The Spectator and review non-fiction books for the Times Literary
Supplement. I also contribute articles on Spanish and European politics and economics
to Sur in English, one of Spain's leading English-language publications, and the
Foundation for Economic Education, an Atlanta-based research centre. My writing has
also appeared in Spear's magazine, the New Statesman, Foreign Policy, The Philosophers'
Magazine and Culture Trip.
I am currently working on a biography of the philosopher, writer, broadcaster and
politician Bryan Magee (1930-2019), due to be published by Bloomsbury in 2028. My
proposal for this project won the 2024 Elizabeth Buccleuch Prize, awarded annually
by London's Biographers' Club for the best proposal by a first-time biographer.
